Slovakia region is one of the major tourist destinations of the Central Europe and the area of the Slovak region is divided into types. The first is the mountainous area which has the Carpathian Mountains and the other area which is primarily the eastern and southern part it is the low plains area which has mostly agricultural land.
It is this mountainous region which is the major tourist attraction because of several things . The prime being the spas in this country and the other being the historical and cultural offerings.
The Slovak region has a huge amount of thermal water springs and the volcanic springs which are said to cure the rheumatic problems. The important fact is that a lot of the towns have been built around these spas and they are the major tourist attractions as people from all over the world come here to get cured and be rejuvenated.
The major places for spa are the Piestany, Rejicke Teplice and the Trencianske Teplice. There are several other spas in the whole of the Western Slovakia region.
These are famous because of the fact that the water which comes out of these springs has about 69 to 70 degrees of temperature and also it has high degree of minerals content. In fact at some places the sulphuric mud is very common which is used for mud baths for treatment of various balneologic disorders.
The major thing when you want to visit Slovakia is to make sure that the season is the main season which begins in April and goes on till December. The other thing to make sure is that the place or the spas which you are booking is a curative spa or a climatic spa. The curative spas offers all sorts of treatments and massages whereas the climatic spas only offer the comfort of clean air and are usually used for the relaxation in the clean air.
When you book your hotel make sure to that you take adequate stay time because with less number of days you will not be able to enjoy all the procedures, so your best bet is to book about 13 days stay which has all the 24 or 25 procedures which will help you rejuvenate the body and the mind.
The last tip is to make sure that whether you have a full board or a half board and the full board is such that offers the all three meals whereas the half board only offers the two meals namely breakfast and dinner.
